A Congregational Discussion on the Current Situation in Israel: November 14, 7:30PM

With special guest: Rabbi Bob Caroll – Board Member, Interfaith Encounter Association

The Jewish world has been traumatized by the horrific October 7th attack on Israel. We grieve for those murdered, we are distraught over the hostages and the indescribable pain felt by their families, and we are anxious for the safety of our family and friends in Israel. Moreover, we are overwhelmed by the rising antisemitism around the world.

We are providing an opportunity for members of our congregation to discuss the current situation: to ask questions and to share thoughts and stories. This will be an in-person discussion for Or Hadash, though please feel free to bring friends (Jews and non-Jews, members or non-members). We are grateful that Rabbi Carroll, who lives in Jerusalem and works with Jews, Christians and Muslims, will be with us as a resource and to lead the discussion with Rabbi Charlie Popky.

We will be providing by email recommended resources (articles, podcasts) for background and insight into the many issues that are being raised.
